I went to the effort of getting a ‘domain’, believing, as it seemed, that going to  the ‘http’etc. visible up left would make getting here a snap. But typing that link/title gets ‘no joy’ from  Bing/Google Platinum.

If there’s a better way, let me know–the reason I post and page here is to invite comment:plus/minus, agree/disagree, what ever. Bestefar and I need breaks at the oars once in a while, but so far no pulls and the longboat sits dead in the water–or some current we don’t feel is taking us where we don’t know.

The longboat, serpent at its prow, is a lie, just like my photo and the stick. We appear contemporary–the way we looked at the time of the stick’s finishing with oil. But it happened around fifty years ago. Maybe ‘figurative’ is a better word than ‘lie’–the boat won’t sink no matter how many sit at the oars!!

So if you got here, move the boat!

About aslak122

writing novels, 7 so far; golf (again, with a titanium left shoulder) Jean, still really lovely a wife, cooks our(mostly my) noon meal, we forage separately for breakfast and evening snack. I rotate from cereal with extra raisins, banana slices, honey to 2 soft-boiled eggs (70 seconds boil over low gas) and a bagel (whole wheat). Oh, and with the cold cereal a precursor of yogurt--cherry or blueberry., and a cup or two of green tea, Lipton's if you please! And several ounces of red wine with the noon meal, opening with one of Jean's absolutely best salads. Takes a while to tell about good food, right?
